Artists Workshops
Where Art & Current Meet
About Your Practice
The workshops are designed to meet you where you are, and take you somewhere new.
Great teaching doesn’t impose a vision; it supports one. That’s why every participant at the Lab will work toward a personal goal or project of their own choosing. Whether you’re refining your technique, reconnecting with your creative voice, or exploring a new medium, we’ll help you build a focused plan that aligns with your intentions.
Each workshop includes foundational guidance, daily structure, and group critique, but we’ll also work with you individually to shape a path that fits your specific needs. We’ll offer prompts, tools, and feedback, and just enough challenge to help you grow.
The aim is simple: to give you the space, support, and inspiration to level up. You’ll leave with new skills, fresh perspective, and the kind of confidence that only comes from doing the work in a place that feeds your spirit.

Weekly Figure Drawing

Figure Drawing Workshops
Figure Drawing at The Lab is a weekly invitation to slow down, look longer, and let the work emerge naturally. Set in an intimate studio environment, these sessions focus on drawing from the live figure with an emphasis on observation, gesture, structure, and light.
We offer two weekly sessions:
-
Tuesdays lean toward beginner and intermediate artists, with light guidance and gentle prompts woven throughout.
-
Thursdays lean toward intermediate to advanced artists, allowing for longer poses and more sustained, self-directed work.
All artists are welcome at both sessions, regardless of experience level.
Each session moves fluidly between short and longer poses, encouraging loose, intuitive drawing that follows line, weight, rhythm, and form rather than chasing finished results. The atmosphere is focused, calm, and communal—supportive without being instructional-heavy.
Sessions include:
-
Live figure drawing with varied poses
-
Light guidance and optional prompts
-
Time for sustained, uninterrupted drawing
-
Optional group sharing and conversation at the close
All levels are welcome. These sessions are not about polish or performance—they’re about seeing more clearly, building confidence through practice, and developing a deeper relationship with the figure.
Materials information and upcoming dates are shared in advance.
